X0STRIKE is a desktop browser FPS, so the fastest path into a match is to understand a compact set of keyboard and mouse controls. The game uses pointer lock: click the game view when asked, move the mouse to look and press Escape when you need to release the cursor for menus.

Core movement and aiming

InputActionUseful detail
W / A / S / DMove forward, left, back and rightCombine keys for diagonal movement; avoid holding the same predictable line in a firefight.
MouseLook and aimUse smaller corrections when aiming down sights instead of dragging past the target.
Left mouseFireAutomatic weapons continue while held; controlled bursts are easier at distance.
Right mouseAim down sightsAiming improves precision but reduces movement speed.
ShiftSprintSprinting is fastest when not aiming; release it before a precise shot.
SpaceJumpUse jumps to clear low cover, not as a substitute for checking a corner.
CToggle crouchCrouching lowers the profile and can steady a held angle.

Your crosshair placement matters before the mouse button is pressed. Keep the aim near the height and edge where an opponent is likely to appear. Looking at the floor forces a large correction; looking at the doorway makes the first shot faster.

Weapons and equipment

Press R to reload and I to inspect the equipped weapon. Number keys select carried slots. In the arena, 1, 2 and 3 select the main weapons and knife, while 4, 5 and 6 select HE, smoke and flash grenades. Press G to throw the selected grenade, F to pick up a nearby dropped weapon and X to drop the current weapon.

Do not reload automatically after every shot. A partial magazine may be enough to stop a second opponent, while a reload animation removes the weapon from the fight. Reload after moving behind hard cover or when teammates can protect the angle.

Simple weapon disciplineFire short bursts at long range, track with longer bursts up close, and stop firing while the crosshair is clearly off target. Resetting for a clean burst is faster than emptying a magazine into a wall.

Doors, pickups and objectives

E is the main context action. It opens interactive doors and handles objective actions. In Bomb Defuse, the attacker holds E at the marked site to plant, and a defender holds E near the armed device to defuse. Commit only when the immediate space is controlled; progress is valuable, but surviving long enough to finish is essential.

Listen for interaction, reload and footstep sounds rather than relying only on the crosshair. X0STRIKE uses spatial audio, so a sound should become quieter and less direct as its source moves farther away. Headphones make front-to-back and room-to-room decisions easier.

Battle Royale controls

Battle Royale keeps the core movement, aiming, reload and crouch inputs, then adds inventory and survival actions:

  • E: open a nearby door or enter/exit a usable vehicle.
  • F: pick up nearby field loot.
  • M: open the tactical map.
  • 1–5: select the weapon or carried slot shown in the inventory.
  • G: drop the active weapon in Battle Royale.
  • H: use a medkit; K uses a bandage; B uses an energy drink while alive on the ground.
  • Middle mouse: place a tactical squad ping.

During a five-second redeploy countdown, B changes role: it opens the respawn weapon market. The context is clear because the operator is eliminated and the market prompt is visible. Choose and confirm a firearm before the aircraft redeploy begins.

Vehicle controls

Enter a car with E. Use W to accelerate, S to reverse, A to turn left and D to turn right. Space brakes. The camera stays in third person while driving so you can judge the car against barriers and buildings.

Cars take damage. Visible fire means the vehicle is close to exploding, so stop in a place that gives the operator cover and exit with E. Do not wait for the car to become stationary if incoming fire is already concentrated on it.

A plan for the first match

  1. Start with Team Deathmatch or a five-minute timed Battle Royale room. Both provide repeated fights and shorter recovery from mistakes.
  2. Choose one rifle and keep it for several lives. Learning recoil and reload timing is more useful than changing weapons after every death.
  3. Practice one movement rule: stop sprinting before the corner where contact is expected.
  4. Use sound to confirm direction. Do not chase every distant reload; decide whether the route has cover.
  5. Review the cause of each death. Crosshair too low, reload in the open, repeated doorway, no matching ammunition or unsafe vehicle are actionable errors.

Once the inputs feel automatic, move into objective modes. Mechanics create the opportunity, but the round is usually decided by route timing, cover and whether the team acts on the same information.
